What a Werewolf Wants by Kristin Miller

4.0

An opposites attract fated mates novel with an element of irony.
Spoiler
~ Does the San Francisco Pack have therapists? Cuz Ryder needs one. He's dealing with a boatload of trauma from being turned, getting cheated on and dumped, and working as an infidelity P.I. on top of some childhood trauma. Get the boy a therapist.
~ Josie is pretty cool, she's a lot more sure of herself and her wants, even if she is a bit idealistic. I like the fact that she can almost magically tell when she touches papers that they've touched.
~ Got really tired of Ryder trying to deny his feelings for Josie and convince himself that she was a bad idea, even knowing about his trauma. I don't know, it felt a little like he was perfectly okay with it until she learned he was a werewolf and then he ran the other way. It just felt a little jarring. Maybe I just wish this element had been handled differently.
~ I feel weird that Ryder got sick after he denied his fated bond. I have a love/hate relationship with fated mates at the best of times and them not having a choice once they meet their fated mate rubs me the wrong way.

Overall, cute shifter romance that hit the spot. Probably wouldn't read again, but maybe recommend.
