Another great addition to one of my favorite series that is sadly mirroring parts of our reality all too well right now...

The main suspect for Eve's latest case is a member of a seemingly untouchable cult that

is heavily involved in human trafficking, enslavement and a myriad other offenses

and is now in Eve's crosshairs.

Every thread she pulls reveals more and more of the cult's disturbing practices, before completely unravelling the whole sinister plot.

The cult leader's daughter had been scheming against her father and planned on blackmailing the main suspect in order to avoid the fate of breeder and slave that she helped "recruit for" and enforce on all other women in the cult.

When the victim threatened to go public with her and the main suspect's affair and thus ruin her plans, she snapped and instead of covering for the main suspect as she had done in the past, safeguarding her investment, she killed her instead, bringing about her own downfall since that brought her and the cult to Eve's attention.

The story is full of action once the wheels are set in motion, and it's all hands on deck for Eve and her team, who prove once again that they are really good at what they do.

Very engaging story that features racist, homophobic fanatics that thankfully, and unlike real life, get what they deserve in the end.
