Speak: The Graphic Novel by Laurie Halse Anderson

5.0

This is a heartbreaking, dark and deeply moving graphic novel. It deals with some extremely upsetting & challenging experiences, in such a meaningful and careful way, and the artwork is phenomenal. The story is harrowing but a very important one to read - I am grateful to the author for choosing to share this story.

I would normally mark Content Warnings as spoilers for those who want to avoid them, but I think it is importantly to go into this book forewarned due to the disturbing nature of the content throughout. If you want TO AVOID SPOILERS, STOP READING HERE.
