More Happy Than Not by Adam Silvera

This book just absolutely wrecked me. I was not expecting any of what just happened. I don’t even know what to say. I’m speechless. Just, wow.

Update - After 2nd Read through:

Again, just wow. This book wrecked once again, but this time I seem to be able to form some coherent thoughts.
First off, shout out to Thomas! What a great fucking guy and amazing best friend to Aaron. He handled everything from Aaron coming out to him, to kissing him and telling him he's in love with him, to finding out about Leteo and his retrograde amnesia, so fucking well. He's just SUCH a good guy and an even better friend. He's there for Aaron and continues to be his friend despite everything.

And oh my god. The writing!? The plot twist!? The first time I read it I didn't see any of it coming and it shocked me to my core (so much so I was left speechless), however, the second time reading it I could see all these little hints placed in the story that nodded towards the past that Aaron doesn't remember at that point. The second read-through was just as good as the first, even though I knew what was going to happen because I picked up on all those little things I didn't the first time.

Overall, such a heartwrenching story but in the best way.
