This one was hard to rate. Overall, it was enjoyable, intense, and really dark. It was a great concept, both with story and how the narrator speaks to you as if you grew up here and know everything about the night of the Run already. Similar to Frankenstein, some times the monster and the creature are not the same thing, and I love stories like that. I listened to it as a audio book, and really enjoyed how the narrator got into the story. Also, I love the cover art on this, not that that's really a factor in reviewing.
The downside of being talked to like you already know about this night, is it leaves lots of questions. There's also SO MANY similies. And the story was a fast read, because it was more high action than story line. While the main characters do figure out the secrets of town, there isn't much actual character development.
