This was not a “fun” read, but it was SO powerful. In this book, Chanel Miller, who is the previously unnamed “unconscious intoxicated woman” in the Stanford rape case reclaims her identity as a strong, intelligent woman and tells the story of what she went through in the years following her sexual assault. There were so many passages that resonated with me because of the eloquence of the writing and sadly because of how relatable this is for anyone who identifies as a woman in our broken society today.
Graphic: Misogyny, Rape, Sexual assault, and Medical trauma
Moderate: Racism
