The was a pretty classic suspense story. Secrets and lies abound - and a mysterious "institution" enhanced the atmosphere of this novel. The trauma suffered by Ethan as a child was devastating. I really felt for this man and how it altered the trajectory of his life. Living without answers to his best friends disappearance takes it toll, and eventually he returns to his childhood home and must uncover the myriad of secrets and tragedies that haunt the quiet cul de sac that is Hemlock Circle,
