I actually really enjoyed this book! I wasn’t sure if I would get into it, but it nicely surprised me. It is the basic theme of the assassin falls in love with who she is supposed to kill and all of that, but I thought it had a clever twist. It was both refreshing and a good read! Especially towards the end when Cas and Em FINALLLLLLY we’re open with their feelings and have that steamy romantic scene! UGH MY FUCKIN HEART! But also my favorite kind of trope.. enemies, friends, lovers! I thought the battle scene at the end was really well done also with a present surprise. I’m genuinely looking forward to reading the next book!
