Clarkesworld Magazine, Issue 100, January 2015

Nebula Award Finalist
Locus Award Finalist
Hugo Award Winner
This is a humorous little story about an AI search engine that tries to covertly improve the lives of several humans. I'm not sure why an AI would be obsessed with cat pictures, but it was a funny set-up for the story. There is some interesting social commentary included, such as the observation that people willfully ignore all kinds of signs to improve or change themselves. Given the general weakness of the competition in the short story category this year, I expect this will win the Hugo Award. It's a good, not great, story.
