It's hard to determine the number of "stars" for this. It's a masterpiece of dystopia, cult, literary horror. The prose is gorgeous (kudos to the translator). The themes are darker than dark. The first page was all it took to convince me to stick with it. It took a minute to get used to the writing style, but once I did it flew by. Bravo.

EDIT: This book gave me some very weird dreams the night that I finished it.
