A great but equally infuriating book on just how frighteningly easy it can be for a person to be wrongfully convicted even in today's world, highlighting corruption with the police force, falsified evidence, and more. I am glad that the majority of the cases highlighted in this book were able to reach a satisfying ending (though not without irreparable damage done to the person's psyche or relationship with others), but for every story in here that has a happy ending, there are probably about a thousand more that haven't.
Disappointed but not surprised to see that it was Texas in the vast majority of these cases, given that their numbers of inmates that are executed are disproportionally high compared to the other states.
