one of my most beloved novels read in my lifetime. i have read this book several times and it never fails to take my breath away. i've heard others say it's slow-paced, but for me, it's a whirlwind of a novel that i blow through at lightning speeds. i love the characters and their flaws and struggles. i love miranda and kaspar's dilemma of a romance, the confused and washed-up punk rock musician, every single one of these characters. i love the way amy tanner weaves the stories of each character's lives and experiences. it's a beautiful novel and amy tanner's words are art.
