Gentleman Sinner by Jodi Ellen Malpas

5.0

Late Review: I'm catching up on some reviews from books I've read earlier this year.

Purchasing Gentleman Sinner was a no-brainer. I own every Jodi Ellen Malpas book she has released in the US so I wasn't about to let my collection suffer. The premise seemed right on target for her audience. A heroic man of many secrets rescues a seemingly damsel in distress. Only he's not so heroic and she might be in distress but she's no damsel.

Without giving too many spoilers away the story of Izzy and Theo is pretty spectacular. When Izzy deviates from her very routine life to help a woman in need she finds herself caught up in a world she knows is dangerous. She should run away fast and never look back. There's just one problem, Theo Kane will not be ignored. He commands all of her attention. Even though red flags are going up left and right. She still finds herself drawn to him. While he might seem vicious to the outside world with her he is a teddy bear and it makes it all the more difficult to walk away from him no matter what she discovers.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were very well developed and I couldn't stop wearing what was going to happen next. The way this book drew the emotions out of me was refreshing. While I love to read, I don't fall in love with every book. This book was great from cover to cover. The complex and sometimes tumultuous relationship of Theo and Izzy was fascinating and engaging. The 5 Star rating still stands. I'm proud to ass this to my personal library.
