I see now the love for Moshfegh, and I do intend to read other works of hers. The narrator is jaded past the point of rationality and takes it out on her few remaining loved one, and takes advantage of a profit-first health provider because of a disinterest in actual improvement. If you don't enjoy 'unlikeable' narrators, this one may not be for you, but it was definitely for me.
