Finally finished this book. I don't know if I'm going to read the second just yet, because it took me like a month to read this one. And for those who know me, that's a pretty long time. Usually I zip through books the same way I eat chocolate - fast and lots of it!

Not saying that this wasn't a bad book, or that it was horrible. It's hard to explain, but I can pretty much just sum it up by saying it just didn't grab at me. Yeah it was interesting, but not enough to hold me for very long, hence the long time in reading it. The characters were good, but they really weren't developed enough and omigosh they just talked so much. If they spent as much time thinking and doing instead of talking, I wouldn't have been as annoyed with them.

And the plot. It just seemed like your average bedtime story. Not much detail is given, just enough to set the stage a bit, and then action and things start happening. I like a little more explanation as to why things happen, a little more world building. Maybe that happens in the other books, I don't know, but going from reading this first book I'm pretty sure these series isn't going to be one of my favorites.

But I will give them the chance until the last book, whenever I get around to reading it that is, and for now these are my thoughts on this book. It was ok, but I really wouldn't recommend it because it really didn't hold my interest so I'm not as sure as if it would do the same to others or not. Pretty much only reason I'm giving it three stars instead of saying that it was ok, is because it's perfectly clean...but just I really didn't like it personally as far as writing and everything went.
