The Hound of the Baskervilles
by Arthur Conan Doyle
One must respect the classics. There's a reason The Hound of the Baskervilles is an enduring favorite: it has a few good twists, great characterization, and a compelling mystery.
However, this book is brought down by its own greatness. Its twists have been copied so many times that I guessed them long before they were revealed and had the murderer figured out very early. And I don't even read mysteries that often!
So yes, I liked it, but it's dated.
