Compelling family saga. How hard it is for us to tell the people we love how much we love them. Even when we are doing things we think are the right things to show that love, they are often not perceived or felt in the spirit that they are given. There are just some many ways for love to be misinterpreted. Mirza makes you intensely feel the frustration of all of those ways.
Highly recommended for book groups and for readers who love stories of complex family dynamics and how culture and religion influence them.
