I enjoyed many things about this. Mainly the friendship of Hannah and Gaby, that was the main part that made the book enjoyable. It was very healing to read about a friendship so solid, and the support system Hannah has from Gaby's family. Mostly this book suffers from being unclear in its messaging. There is a lot of discussion of soulmates and fate and how things are "meant to be", and in some ways the multiple timeline thing supports those theories,
Hannah meets Henry in both universes, Jessie and Gaby end up together, Hannah's parents ask her to move to London in both universes, Hannah becomes a nurse and works with Carl in both.
. All of this would lead you to believe this is a book about destiny and how our paths are fated and whatever happens some things are meant to be... But then the whole Henry vs Ethan love story completely contradicts that, it more so supports Gaby's approach to Mark , you find something good enough and you make it work, there is no such thing as a fated partner. I'm not particularly of the mind of either, I'm mostly just bothered the book couldn't decide. There was some very strongly worded sentences in there so for it to land in a zone of no decision feels like a cop out. The other thing this book suffers from is high cringe concentration. I don't think I can listen to the phrase "cinammon roll" again without rolling my eyes.
