Considering this is called the "complete guide", I expected it to go into a lot more scientific detail than it actually did. Slightly disappointing, but I'm perhaps not the target audience in that I consider myself to be pretty obsessed about the topic.

Useful for people who don't know much about the benefits of fasting and are curious to understand for once and for all what the differences are between say, 5:2 and 16:8, and to get questions like, "Won't I lose muscle mass?" answered.
