Take a Hint, Dani Brown by Talia Hibbert

Trigger warnings: death, grief, panic attacks, cheating, lying

February 2023: It's been such a joy reading this series again! I haven't had a chance to re-read the third book, but I think it's definitive for me that this one is my favorite of them all. There is something just so beautiful about Dani and Zaf's relationship. Hibbert's writing is not only super funny and entertaining, but so heartwarming. She is a master at creating characters that feel 100% real and complex and honest. Dani is such a confident and determined person; I love how much effort she puts into her goals and how hard she works at making them happen. On the other hand, Zaf is the ultimate cinnamon roll; the sweetest, most kindhearted love interest I have had the pleasure to come across. The fact that their romance is based on a sweet foundation of friendship and they slowly begin to trust each other with more vulnerable experiences and feelings makes this such a wonderful romance. I love the way the harder topics are handled and how both characters do their best to support each other. It's just SO GOOD. If you haven't read this series yet, I don't know what you're doing with your life haha. I am both excited and dreading re-reading the third book because then it will be over!
