kellyd 's review for:
City of Miracles
by Robert Jackson Bennett
slow-paced
This book is a mess, especially compared to the first two. The characterization is at its weakest and the main character has very little agency. I see what the author was trying to do but don't really feel like he succeed.
However, it goes to show how well the author created these characters and this world in the first two books that I was still very much invested in seeing what happens.
It's a flawed book to be sure, but worth a read if you've gotten this far.
