The concept for this one sounds a bit over the top (I mean, a film noir detective that has to deal with book characters coming through a portal in a book shop basement, and then has to deal with a Christmas elf?) and it could have gotten a little too silly too fast, but the author wrote it with such sincerity that it really it really is just a sweet short romance story, and I really enjoyed it.
