I couldn’t put this book down but it also wasn’t amazing. I know that’s contradictory but that’s how it feels. I loved the idea of it as a Sleeping Beauty retelling, but marketing it as also a Hades x Persephone retelling was a bit misleading as I didn’t draw many parallels to the Hades x Persephone story outside the MMC’s name and her choice at the end of the story (which I won’t spoil). 3.75 stars for making me need to know the ending but execution could have been better.
