Don't You Forget About Me
by Mhairi McFarlane
This was so good and sweet and thoughtful and well done. So much better than the cover might suggest. The main female character was flawed in so many good ways and so lovable. The book dealt with a really hard incident with so much power and grace - I can’t easily recall another easy-fiction book I read that dealt with vulnerability and trauma as well. There were some mildly irksome moments mid-book where the leads are skirting each other that just seem not real enough, but that’s ok - everything else about this was so good! I now want to know if everything this author has written is as good.
