Nancy's Mysterious Letter by Carolyn Keene

3.0

Well. Some Nancy Drew stories hold up better than others. This one was originally written in 1932 by an author who took over for another (better one? I suspect so) after the Depression led to lower rates for writing the books—and it was revised and condensed in 1968, so it’s doubly challenged as a result, I think. And the audio version is... let’s just say not narrated with a ton of vocal talent. But the story entertained my daughter and me on a long car ride, which is always appreciated.
