The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches is a great cozy, fall fantasy that follows Mika Moon, a solitary witch who has had to hide her magic and stay away from other witches (except for every 3rd Thursday of every 3rd month.) For the most part, she follows these rules, except for the "fake" witchy videos she posts online. But who is going to find out that she's an actual witch?

A message soon arrives asking her to help teach 3 young witches at Nowhere House, a home that has quite the quirky family and a big secret that they want to keep buried. Mika's temporary job turns into her finding her place in the world, finding her found family, and getting into an unexpected relationship with the grumpy librarian.

This book is great if you're in the mood for witchy, cozy vibes. The writing is great, the characters are all loveable (Ian is a hoot!) and the ending is beautifully tied up. Mika and Jamie's relationship is a very slow burn that really doesn't take off until about 60% of the way in, so keep that in mind if you don't like slow burns.

The only reason this was a 4.5⭐️ read for me instead of a 5⭐️ was because I found the story slowed down around the 25% mark, and I was having to force myself to keep pushing through  a couple chapters, but that could have just been because I've been reading multiple books at once😅 but the story did pick back up and I ended up finishing the last 250ish pages in one night.

Overall, this is a great book to add your fall TBR🍂🍁
