Mary DiNunzio is a lawyer who is representing 10-year-old Patrick, a dyslexic boy who is accused of attacking a school aide. But the truth is deeper and darker than just that, and Mary is right in the middle of it all.
I haven't read the other books in this series, so I was worried about picking up this one, but it was just fine. The story was intriguing and keep me guessing right up to the end.
I have read most of this author's stand-alone books and am a big fan of her writing. Having read this one, I want to go back and read to the others in the series.
