I wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book. It was described as more of a horror to me, but it ended up being much more emotional and character based than the horror I’m used to. I loved the family dynamics that are established in this book, as well as the mystery of what the characters are doing in the woods to begin with. The scene is so well described, and I loved how the solitude was conveyed so heavily. I breezed through this book very fast, wanting to know the outcome, and I wasn’t disappointed.
