In the Company of Others by Jan Karon

4.0

I love the Mitford series! I am glad for the ways Karon comfortably expresses faith and responds to questions on faith and Christian belief.
This story has some fun twists and it is fun to have some new characters in a new setting.
A few things were tiresome for me in this book, which I partly listened to on CD and partly read as an ebook:
- I don't see where long stretches of "memory lane" as to the story (listing names of characters back in Mitford, or telling about former events or places)
- Karon has some favorite themes that are getting a bit overworked (orphaned or neglected youth finds love and acceptance/support)
Overall, a good read.
