Great Circle
by Maggie Shipstead
My fave quote from the book: "The point was to be someone who didn’t treat fear like a God to be appeased."
May we all be as fearless as Marian Graves. Personally I enjoyed Marian's story more than Hadley's, as the latter seemed to be a bit of an entitled brat, but overall, it was a great (if very long) read. I listened to the audiobook (a whopping 25 hours) which was beautifully narrated. I loved the author's descriptions of flight and the sensations it triggered in the FMC. The storytelling was epic - loads of great side characters and intertwining threads that kept it interesting all the way through.
