A book recommended to me which I am very grateful, as not sure I would have read it. I loved every minute of the book, total addictive page-turner, with unexpected twists and turns, amazing female protagonist in Evelyn who had me torn on how to feel about her life and choices. I laughed, cried and went on a rollercoaster of emotions, made me question myself, life and some beautiful moments of love, some lovely memories and lines to treasure.
I have passion and love for old-Hollywood and classic movies so perfect fit for me, but even if you don't, the book takes you into old studio movie world, intrigue, mystery, romance and what accepting your sexuality may mean. Evelyn Hugo (lovely mix of many of the old stars) recalls her life in movies to reveal her truth, her true love and her seven husband experiences.
A reflection through times as Evelyn takes us from 1950s to present day.
A book I will re-read as spoke to my heart and soul and was a beautiful experience to read.
