Eh. I read this as part of my reading challenge. I was underwhelmed. The prose was well written but the beginning was so slow and I had to slog through it. Though set in the early 1900s, it was weird that there were so many antisemitic references and some weird ones about Asians too. Wouldn’t recommend.
