I loved the Night Angel trilogy, so much that I still remember when and where I read it. Either I've changed, or this book is different from the others. It's way too bloated and full of the things I care least about. Constant action, planning infiltration, failing at it, figuring out how to get away, over and over and over. All I care about is the rest, the characters, the world, the major players, and that would encompass maybe 200 pages at most. I found this extremely tedious, and it was a struggle to get through. It's hard to go from one of my all time favorite series to wondering if I would even be interested in the next book.
