Starts off really well - a sort of Hunger Games set in the real world and with the prize being sufficient money to get out of dead-end Carp, New York (and the eliminated being stuck there). But it sags in the middle and becomes entirely predictable, if not quite credible. The two main characters - Heather and Dodge - are well developed but the others, particularly the two love interests are really only there as plot devices.
