Reasons To Stay Alive by Matt Haig

emotional hopeful reflective fast-paced

3.0

Powerful message, a bit too fragmented at times. It can feel like a collection of chapters written on different occasions and then stitched together, and I was hoping for more of a linear narrative (it's not always what I look for in a book, but it was for this one). It ended just as I was starting to get into it, and cemented my idea that self-help books (if Reasons To Stay Alive can be called one) are not for me: reading someone else's experience helps with realising others feel the same feelings and go through rough patches, but rarely leads to actionable insights or habits I end up sticking to. Glad I read it, but I won't be rushing to revisit it.
