Was this book exciting? Yes.
However, personally I was a lot more into the story when Pan was not a love interest. I just like having an actual villain to root for. I also felt that terrible actions done by certain characters were just brushed over because "we all have done scummy things". Okay, sure. Genocide is still not cool.
So yeah, it felt like it was condoning a lot of evil deeds because of a subjective morality where everyone did bad stuff so nobody could judge the others.
