When the Moon Hatched by Sarah A. Parker
5.0
"He's fire and brimstone. I'm shattered ice. Our collision is steam and destruction, destined to dissipate, but I'll gladly burn beneath him until the world comes crumbling down."
This was my favourite read of May. It was overwhelming in the beginning, but after a couple of chapters, I could not put the book down.
Let's start at the beginning. This book had a glossary!!! It might have been a bit scary, but it was so damn useful. The world building was stunning, and the pacing was perfect. It is a thick book l, but it will keep you hooked. It might be a bit confusing for some (like me, in the beginning), but I urge you to keep going. It will get better and easier.
Now, the main characters. Raeve is such a badass FMC. I loved her so much. She has a traumatizing past, and the depth to her character was truly touching. And Kaan? Well, he is the new addition to my list of book boyfriends. He is an emotionally available MC who loves Raeve so much. The angst and yearning melted my heart.
I should also point out that even though it is a complex world, it focuses more on romance. I am so looking forward to the next book.
