Even better than book 2! And the narrator of this book is much better than the person who did book 2. Lots of character development. I got a true surprise in chapter 28 of the audio book. That doesn't happen often. Like book 2, the three main characters spend a lot of time separated from each other, but it works well. The writing continues to be very good. This is a series i find myself looking forward to every time i have a few minutes to listen to it. Even though the books are long, it never becomes the drudgery like the Wheel of Time books so often did.
