Wish You Were Here by Jodi Picoult

It feels weird to say I enjoyed a book about a pandemic. But I did! I liked the "e-mails" from Finn the best. It gave real validation for how bad shit was back then.
And I'm really glad the broke up. Something was def off in their relationship if he thought they had the same favorite cake! Whether it was because he never asked/she never corrected, doesn't matter. Either way, communication wasn't strong there.
I want to be torn about the whole "going on vacation alone" bit but that's only because the island wound up being closed so the exposure risk was minimal. But when the decision was made, the island was still open to tourists who were coming from all over the place. So why would you risk getting sick and needing intense medical care on an island without any? Why would Finn tell her to go without him when he was sure the attending at the hospital was right about how bad things were going to get? Seemed very counter intuitive to me.
