Angels' Flight: A Guild Hunter Collection by Nalini Singh

4.0

Very good short stories from the Guild Hunter series.

Angel's Pawn:

4 stars. This was a good one. Janvier and Ashwini's story was good but be warned it's not their romance story. It's more of the start to their romance but hopefully they will get a full length novel sometime in the future.

Angel's Judgment:

4 stars. Read this one in the [b:Must Love Hellhounds|6286042|Must Love Hellhounds|Charlaine Harris|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1349041819s/6286042.jpg|6470221] anthology. Didn't read it this time so I'm just copying and pasting my previous review. This was an entertaining short story. The pace moved really well and it's a fun time. I've read the first book and I really enjoyed seeing how Sara and Deacon got together. I'm really liking this series and I look forward to reading the next one.

Angel's Wolf:

5 stars. I really loved this one. I thought Angel's Dance (the next in the anotholgy) would have been my favorite in this collection but boy did this one come out of left field for me. Noel is the vampire that was severely tortured/injured in a previous installment (can't remember which one off the top of my head) and he's sent to Nimra's court. At first he thinks it's because Raphael thinks he's broken but we soon find out that he's there for another purpose. Nimra who is a lethal archangel but Nalini Singh does a fantastic job of pulling back the layers of a character. There is more to Nimra than her lethal side. The cast of characters surrounding her were a delight as well.

Angel's Dance:

4.5 stars. Loved this one as well. Although not a favorite it was close. We see Jessamy and Galen a little bit in various installments and in this one we finally get their story. I loved how Galen was instantly interested in Jessamy. He was possessive and alpha but at the same time he would give her space when she needed it. My one complaint, Jessamy constantly thought about her deformed wing, on the one hand I understood why it was on her mind that much on the other it did get irritating when she brought it up to guys who were interested in her.

Overall this was a great anthology and I look forward to the next installment Archangel's Legion (GH #6) coming out this year.
