Honestly this book took me months to finish, the first 300 pages were slow (for me) but then picked up the last 150 pages or so. Each chapter is through different characters and some are set in a different time than the main timeline, but the time skip is mentioned at each chapter which is extremely helpful!! The tension between the characters and the moral dilemmas they face drives the story.
