I love the characters in this book. Melene has such a strong personality and banter between her and Salvatore was really good. I love how he’s known as one of the most ruthless people in the mafia and she does not give a shit and she does what she wants what she wants and she’s a strong character unlike some of the other female man, characters and other mafia books. However, I do wish they would have explained his injuries a bit more like how his hand looked after it was smashed, and where his leg was amputated and why, and both of them talking about it and kind of coming together. Other than that, this was a good book and the banter is why I gave it a 3.5 star instead of a three star.
