The Rotting Within
by Matt Kurtz
challenging
dark
mysterious
tense
fast-paced
- This book was tense the entire time I was reading. At one point, I had to put the book down entirely and doing something else in order to shake off the shock of one of the scenes.
- There are several unanswered questions left at the end, but I didn’t mind the ambiguity of it. It adds to the mystery of what’s happening by the end of the book.
- The ending is brutal. I could honestly have done without the last chapter.
