Let me preface this by saying, I enjoy John Sandford novels. Some are better than others, but they are still fun reads. Chosen Prey was an extremely fun novel. It begins with an Art History Professor who has a lust for killing. Sprinkle it with some snail mailed bizarre art work. Add some new characters who you hope stay around for another book, but you know deep down that they are doomed to die. Finally get Lucas in his Porsche speeding to crime scene after crime scene. That is the recipe for a book you look forward to completing.
