This book has a distinctly different vibe from the first 3 in the Elite King’s Club series & I didn’t enjoy it nearly as much as the others. I expected a lot of ups and downs with this book but I just didn’t like Tillie & Nate’s story thus far as much as I liked the first part of the series.
I read the trigger warning in the beginning of the book & was very confused what it was actually about. It said there would be warnings leading up to the scene it was referencing. But there definitely were *not*. I don’t care that actually naming the situation in the trigger warning is somewhat of a spoiler, I would have rather seen it spelled out instead of being surprised with a scene with SIDS & then an immediate suicide attempt.
