Three Women by Lisa Taddeo
4.0

at the end i found myself cheated out of the feeling of completion, of the full movement of the arcs of the characters. aside from the abrupt finish, i really found myself seeing the experiences of the three women through their unique perspectives. to be able to expertly switch and swap tones without it feel abrasive or blunt is an excellent ability of taddeo.

i was especially emotionally gripped by maggie’s story. it was so vulnerable, painted beautifully from the eyes of a teenage girl, and riveting. i was anxious to read her sections and really felt heart broken for her, especially during the trial.
