ノラガミ 9

Ebisu had better not be dead, after all that work getting him to embrace life and live authentically as himself and not the fatalistic expectation of living that he had been raised in, I'll be devastated. He just wanted to do his best to help control the chaos of the human world and be their support. This also makes it clear that he is not deeply tied to the mask making that resulted in the Kugaha/Bishamon debacle. Hiyori and Yukine head off to Izumo to see how they can help Yato, but end up running into Kugaha, who almost beats Yukine because of his insecurities about having value to Yato. Thankfully it all works out, and Tenjin binds Kugaha to him. Bishamon has one hell of an epic moment when she confronts Takemikazuchi (who descends from the heavens in the kind of all powerful move I love to see). She shows off why she is the god of war, and Kazuma steps up to the plate perfectly. The Fukurokujin all rally behind Ebisu and it's really cute to see them supporting each other. I had a great time with this volume and can't wait to see where this arc ends up.
