This took me way too long to finish, considering the audiobook is less than 7 hours. I love how CCJ writes but this particular book didn't do it for me. I think it's mostly because many things happened later than they should. The heroine withheld something major until the very end and it was frustrating to read on knowing that the heroine is withholding this 'secret', especially to her mother. There were plenty of moments wherein she could have just said it and it would have solved and prevented problems.
Rant aside, I'm still on the hunt for that CCJ book or series that will knock my socks off. This unfortunately wasn't it.
