A perfect example of a book that has has everything you want, but you just want MORE.

Gael and Jordan take you on a great ride from friends to lovers. At first I was a bit taken aback at how quickly their relationship developed, but then that beautiful twist happened that had me reaching for the tissues.

Both of the characters are written extremely well, their alternating perspectives giving you a really well rounded heart-wrenching experience. Reading from Jordan’s perspective in particular was so sad; his love for Gael as his best friend overpowering his own need for more was so raw.

These two guys go through hell and back to get their HEA, and I loved the angst here. Not knowing if Gael would make his way back to Jordan had me powering through this book at record speed.

I just wish there was more; more push and pull, more drama with Elena (seriously, that poor girl), more hoops to jump through… it felt too easy towards the end. They both individually fought so hard just for it to very quickly go in the direction they needed. I know I know, I’m being greedy here, but I just felt it needed a little extra something to truly shatter my soul.

Overall, a great read. Marley has whipped out a great character driver story, and if you enjoy friends to lovers then this is one for your list.
