The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
by Taylor Jenkins Reid
I am regretting why I haven't read this before, it has been in my TBR for so long.
To start with, I can see that the origin of the reporter and famous celebrity trope started with Evelyn Hugo.
The book covered many societal issues, majorly LGBTQ, from the perspective of Hollywood and women, especially in the 60s to the early 2000s. The book's timeline is significant because one can see evolution over time explained. Most importantly, this book captured the essence and delivered the reality of how behind the cameras work in entertainment. Additionally, this book would be a perfect basic guide for people who dream of stardom. As in, on how to the handle and deal with consequences and sacrifices, how to enjoy and strategize the pros.
I personally think that everyone should read this book at least once in their lifetime.
